Pick of the Bunch: Libby

The juice is fresh, but the team behind it? Even fresher.

Introducing Pick of the Bunch, where we spotlight the people who make Picky...well, Picky.

From juice & smoothie obsessives to perfectionist planners, this crew lives and breathes bold flavors, bright ideas, and the relentless pursuit of liquid greatness.

Stay tuned as we peel back the curtain (and maybe an orange or two) to share their stories, quirks, and what keeps them squeezing every drop of passion into Picky.

Obsessed? Us too.

Meet Libby, our Marketing Specialist. If you’ve been to a Picky event, spotted a poster, or admired a perfectly placed fridge decal, chances are Libby was behind it. She’s got a sharp eye, a sharper sense of humour, and is a connoisseur of a process doc; she writes them beautifully, then rebels like a true creative.

Libby has a cat called Chook and a chook called Cat. They’re both handling the identity crisis... surprisingly well.

The pick of the bunch? Without question, so we asked her some Picky questions:

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your role?

Hi, I’m Libby. I’m the glorified party planner, AKA Physical Marketing Specialist.

Tell us about your connection to the Hawke’s Bay region. What makes this place special to you?

Hawke’s Bay is home. It’s where I grew up, moved away from and came back to. It’s got the pull of family, sunshine and great opshops.

When you think of Hawke’s Bay, what local ingredients or foods come to mind?

Summer stone fruit, feijoas in autumn, and world-class wine & beer year-round.

What’s one thing you love about living or working in Hawke’s Bay?

Spring and Summer!

Quick-fire questions.

Pick three words to describe yourself when you were 13. Lanky, curly-haired goofball.

What’s the most normal thing you can think of?  Toast.

Is your dishwasher loading rules-based or vibes-led? I don’t have one where I live now, and I’m never taking a dishwasher for granted ever again.

Imagine you have to eat the same breakfast for the rest of your life… what’s for dinner? Pasta in any form.
